| Flow kicks it with the rock band Wolfmother |
|
JULY 27, 2008 SAN DIEGO, CA – This past weekend Flow had the opportunity to meet up with Chris Ross, the bassist/keyboardist of the Australian rock band, Wolfmother. Some time ago, Chris was snowboarding in his local mountain resorts in Australia when he met up with a Euro guy with Flow bindings. He told me that he was so stoked on the “flip up high-back”, as he called it, that he wanted a pair of his own. Thanks to the help of PR rockstar Christina Martin from Equity Strategic out of L.A., Flow was able to connect with the band on the last stop on their North American Tour in San Diego, CA.

After a quick stop by Wolfmother’s Hotel to hook Chris up with some Flow gear, Christina and I headed over to Qualcomm stadium where they were scheduled to open for Stone Temple Pilots later that evening. After picking up our VIP passes the bands Tour manager had left at will call, we headed over to the main stage. We were able to mingle briefly with the bands before they took their spots on stage in front of 6,000 people in attendance. It was a rockin’ good time! The band is back in Australia now where Chris can take a break from tour to get a little shred time in on his new Flow set-up. -Words and photo's by Heather Baker |
